Our History

Prairie Engineering, P.C. was founded on May 1, 1983 by Lon Drevecky P.E. and Greg Dockter P.E. It consisted of a Mechanical Department located in Minot, ND and an Electrical Department located in Bismarck, ND. Since that time, the company has expanded to over 20 employees and provides both Mechanical and Electrical Design Services from each of the two office locations. The primary service area of the firm is North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, Idaho and Wyoming.

What we do

Prairie Engineering and its members have been involved in the design of office buildings, airport terminals, municipal buildings, hospitals, prisons, schools, commercial, and industrial facilities. Over the course of several decades, Prairie Engineering, P.C. has developed long-standing relationships with many clients.
