Prairie Engineering, P.C. was founded in 1979 as a Professional Corporation that provided
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services on a consultant basis to Architectural Firms,
Owners and other Engineering Firms. Prairie Engineering, P.C. has been serving Western
North Dakota for over 30 years. In that time the company has grown to 26 employees,
which includes eight Mechanical Engineers, seven Electrical Engineers, five senior
Mechanical Designers and three Senior Electrical Designers. The primary service area of the
firm is the Western two-thirds of North Dakota, Eastern Montana and Northwest South
Dakota, although the firm has provided design services for projects in Minnesota and Iowa.
Prairie Engineering and its members have been involved in design of many types of
buildings such as office buildings, airport terminals, municipal buildings, hospitals, prisons,
schools and commercial and industrial facilities. Over the course of 34 years, Prairie
